20 days back, Dadi called me & said, Guddo- “Roj ek Geeta ka adhyaya padh kar hum logo ko suna diya kar, bahut punya milta hain sunne se “( Do read us a chapter of Geeta everyday, it gives us a huge reward.) I always thought it to be very filmy, reading Geeta, Ramayana to ourelders at home 🙂  I told Dadi ” Ye sab tho picture mein hota hain ( It all happens in movie not in a real life ) But even to my surprise,  we have been reading one chapter since then & read chapter 16th yesterday. Dadi & I discuss about the teachings after reading and she gives me her insight on it. I could explore myself more everyday with them & finding new ways to spend time with them 🙂

Few teachings that We both loved :

On this path effort never goes to waste, and there is no failure”.

“No one who does good work will ever come to a bad end, either here or in the world to come.”

“One has to learn tolerance in the face of dualities such as happiness and distress, or cold and warmth, and by tolerating such dualities become free from anxieties regarding gain and loss.”

“Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.”

“There are three gates to this self-destructive hell – lust, anger, and greed. Renounce these three.”

“Neither in this world nor elsewhere is there any happiness in store for him who always doubts.”

“Whatever happened was good, what’s happening, it’s going well, whatever will happen, will also be good. You need not have any regrets from the past. Do not worry for the future. Live in the present.”

Yesterday I asked Dadi : Dadi- Koi duniya mein itna padh ke follow karta hoga kya ? Koi Sukh mein aur dukh mein ek jaisa rehta hoga kya ? ( Do people really follow such teachings & can remain calm in both happiness & in sorrow ? )

She replied : Beta duniya mein aise bahut sare  acche log hain, tabhi tho duniya chal rahi hain.( The world is full of good people & they help in running the world smoothly)

I pray , I could be among those good people.
