Strength Finder

Read Strength Finder, exactly when I needed to read it. Have not given the test yet 🙂 This is the second paragraph of the first page.

“We were tired of living in a world that revolved around fixing our weaknesses. Society’s relentless focus on people’s shortcomings had turned into a global obsession. What’s more, we had discovered that people have several times more potential for growth when they invest energy in developing their strengths instead of correcting their deficiencies.”

Excerpt From: Rath,Tom. “Strengths Finder 2.0.” iBooks.

When I read it, I was amazed of my silliness. I was doing the same with me. I was working hard to be perfect, to learn everything that I can and was working on all my weaknesses at once. Everyday, I wanted to be better than yesterday, and work on my shortcomings as much as I can. This is a good sign for development but I needed to stop somewhere.

Nobody is perfect and we cannot know and be expert at everything. The book taught me to focus on my strength and gave a new perspective to life. I strongly recommend you all to read it 🙂

“You cannot be anything you want to be—but you can be a lot more of who you already are.”
